Painted Ornaments #12 of 12

Painted Ornaments  comparison #12 of 12 ending the series. Yes, I did give the paint ornaments a go, for 3 days! I used Apple Barrel acrylic craft paints, just enough to coat, they dripped dry in 3 days! No lies, 72 hours. I love the look but this isn't for a quick project. There may be additives that can be done to speed the drying process however I didn't have one and really wasn't looking to add another purchase to sit in the craft room until net year. I just wanted to veer away from the glitter ornaments and try something new.  It works have patience, start in July if you are making a ton of these!! LOL

Large Personalized Box

Make Beautiful Custom Large size boxes! Cut all on 12 x 12 mats so there is no larger size material needed Again using heavy cardstock such as watercolor 140lb or my personal preference Cricut Kraftboard along with Cricut Cardstock in Red and  Cricut Silver Glitter Cardstock. The Acetate window is  Cricut's Foil Acetate from the Metallic Sampler. The finished box outside dimensions are 10L x 8 3/4W x 4D and inside 9Lx7Wx4D. Watch the tutorial here!

I used a Design Space image for the  Merry Christmas on this box. In the tutorial, I show how to save the file box top to cut the backing for your layers. Lighted Red Truck Sign

Lighted Red Truck Iron-on Canvas

I was asked to do a video on how to make this cute red truck sign (SVG Salon SVG). Some people were using vinyl some Iron-on and I have seen a few painted. I knew I could stencil and paint and I knew it could get messy so some just don't want to bother with it. I also saw a few struggling with vinyl so I thought I would give it a go with vinyl and iron-on so you guys could pick a method that actually worked for you. Hands down Iron=on is the way to go! It looks painted but it's quick and easy. Speaking of Easy the #ad Cricut's Easy Press would be an excellent way to do this project. I used a heat press and you can use a household iron. In total canvas, fabric scrap, lights left over from last year and Iron on this project cost me about 2.75 cents! If you have to buy it all new you are still under $10! Small Disc Ornament and Box

How adorable are these. I can not wait for the Christmas season to begin. This is the smaller 2.65-inch ornament and a box to match with stabilizers. It is the tiny counterpart to the 4-inch ornaments and box shown earlier this month in the superhero theme. The possibilities for this box and the ornament are limitless. for the assembly tutorial please refer to the earlier post this month as they are the same. How To Clean Your Cricut Mats!

DO NOT USE AWESOME CLEANER

Please DO NOT use the Awesome cleaner on any of the new Cricut mats (the ones without the flower patterns). It WILL strip the adhesive and possibly the color off the mats. The new adhesive cannot hold up to the harsh chemicals in that cleaner. One to two drops of the plain blue dawn dish soap should be more than adequate to get the Blue, Green and Purple mats clean and have the stick return to them or you can use an alcohol-free baby wipe. Also, you are not supposed to wash or scrape the pink mats at all. Use a sticky lint roller to remove debris from those or the tool provided by Cricut to remove the strings. Sculptured Pumpkins

Fall is just around the corner! How adorable are these Sculptured Pumpkins! 

These were made with the Cricut Maker machine and some machine/hand stitching.  However, you could totally use your Cricut Explore machine to make this as well! 

This is a quick and easy project anyone can do from a beginner to a pro! 

Start to finish 1-2 hours depending on your skill level! 3 material choices and less than 5 12 x 12 pieces of fabric, embroidery threads, a Doll needle (recommended) or long needle, and ribbon!
